Close access to historic sites and a nice marina view. Breakfast quality needs improvement; options were limited and ran out quickly. Beds were comfortable, but cleanliness could be better. Parking was ample and convenient.

The staff was friendly and helpful during my stay. Unfortunately, the room cleanliness was not up to par. I noticed the bathroom needed better attention. Breakfast had a nice variety but was lacking fresh fruit. The hotel allows pets without extra fees. It’s a decent spot, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you need a spotless room.

During my stay, I loved how easy it was to explore the city, with attractions like the Historic Charleston City Market and Marion Square being just a 20-minute stroll away, allowing me to take in the beautiful architecture and vibrant atmosphere of the area while walking, and there are many other landmarks like The Citadel and Nathaniel Russell House only a little further, which made my weekend absolutely delightful; the hotel itself could use some improvements, but the experience was uplifted by its fantastic accessibility to the best parts of Charleston.

The room was clean, but we faced significant issues. Upon arrival, the first room had an overwhelming odor, leading us to switch rooms. The second room smelled unpleasant as well, with a disturbing discovery on the pillows. The air conditioning worked, but the temperature fluctuated wildly in the shower. Pillows were uncomfortable, and the TV volume was temperamental. Room key access was problematic. While the staff were friendly, amenities like the microwave and mini fridge were missing. We enjoyed the location, but the state of the rooms and maintenance issues left much to be desired.

Great location and competitive price, but definitely not worth the cost for the quality. Check-in was fast, but the overall staff demeanor needed improvement—especially the breakfast attendant, who was quite unhelpful. Breakfast was inconsistent; two days had decent options, but the last morning left much to be desired. The room had mold, peeling paint, and a broken desk chair. Hearing trash being dumped outside our window was an unwelcome addition to our stay. The lobby's odor didn’t help either. With outdated facilities, the experience felt sadly underwhelming. Wouldn’t recommend it.

The location of La Quinta By Wyndham Charleston Riverview is truly great, offering easy access to local attractions. the lower building is in need of urgent repairs, and the cleanliness and staff professionalism could be significantly improved for a better guest experience.

Friendly staff, friendly environment with helpful assistance in finding a new room quickly and the pleasant ability to enjoy a warm shower after a long day of exploring.
Couldn't stay longer.

The room was smaller than expected, the toilet barely flushed, and there were insects everywhere. We even had a mold problem in the bathroom. Honestly, it felt more like a rundown shelter than a hotel.

The location of the hotel was fantastic, being close to many attractions in town. It was super convenient for exploring the area. Additionally, the front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating, providing great recommendations for local restaurants.
The rooms were not soundproof, and noise from neighboring rooms could be quite bothersome. The bedding was uncomfortable, and the lack of extra blankets was disappointing.

Check-in was a breeze and the staff were super friendly! The outdoor swimming pool was refreshing and perfectly maintained. Breakfast was a treat, delicious and fully stocked even with a full house!
Strongly recommend! ❤️😊

The location is super convenient for exploring the area. The friendly staff definitely tried their best despite the chaos.
The decor feels stuck in a time warp and could use a makeover.

The check-in staff was great and really accommodating. The location is nice, close to the water and walking trails, perfect for a stroll after dinner.
It was a bit pricey for what you got, but still reasonable.

The bed was pretty comfy, and the location was convenient, close to downtown and Folly Beach. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
The hotel needs a serious makeover. The room was dusty, and the tub looked like it had been there since the dinosaurs.

Great location. Close to tourist attractions and a short drive to Folly Beach. The initial room? A disaster. Unclean, with mold and broken fixtures. Complained and switched to a better room without hesitation from staff. Refreshingly accommodating. Staff friendliness varied. Some were pleasant, others not so much—especially in the breakfast area. Facilities could use work. The pool was nice but closed. Wi-Fi issues and maintenance needed in hallways and bathrooms. The view of the harbor was lovely, and the room was clean after maintenance. Despite the challenges, the team’s responsiveness was appreciated. This could be a hidden gem if maintenance matched the location’s potential.

the rooms were clean and spacious, and the location was super convenient - just next to a good restaurant - california dreaming. also, the hotel is dog-friendly - which is a big plus. and they offer accommodations for late check-out - which is really helpful.
100% Recommend.

Enjoyed the views and comfy beds. Breakfast had limited options; Only one working elevator, had to exchange towels for more. AC and bathroom maintenance needed. Who doesn't love paying for parking after an expensive stay? .

The room at La Quinta had a nice flat-screen TV and a comfy sitting area, but the carpeted floor looked a bit worn out. The lack of ironing facilities was inconvenient, and the air conditioning kept cutting off the TV, which was quite annoying. They did provide free toiletries, which was a plus, but the room could have used a mini-fridge for convenience. The housekeeping was a bit lacking, as there were only two towels in the room and requesting more was a hassle. The laundry area seemed outdated and could have been cleaner. the stay was comfortable, but there were some areas that needed improvement. The staff was friendly, but the lack of attention to detail and maintenance issues made the experience less than perfect. I appreciated the effort to accommodate requests, but the overall presentation of the room and amenities left something to be desired.

I chose La Quinta for its convenient location near my desired landmark. The local shuttle service exceeded my expectations, making my sightseeing experience stress-free. The FREE hot Bright Side Breakfast® with all-you-can-drink coffee and juice was a delightful treat before starting my day of exploration.
Room in separate building.

i loved the motel and the location. the rooms were nice and the place was clean. it's definitely a gem. if i asked for towels or anything that was needed, the staff was super nice and accommodating. i will book again maybe, and that's a big maybe.
Nothing, all great 😊

My stay at La Quinta was comfortable and the location allowed easy access to various attractions. However, I had a small issue with the TV that was promptly resolved by a helpful technician. I'll recommend this hotel.

My stay at this hotel in Charleston was highly enjoyable as a budget traveler. The room was incredibly clean, and I particularly appreciated the comfortable beds and the great shower. The hotel had excellent amenities such as free Wi-Fi, a 24-hour reception, and a fitness center. The location was convenient, with easy access to both the beach and historic downtown Charleston. a great experience!
Carpets in common areas could have been cleaner, especially near the elevator.
